Birmingham Museum of Art

If you missed Art On The Rockst earlier this summer it's still not to late.  Make your plans ahead with two more events on September 15th and October 20th.  For more information call  205-328-7629.

Art on the Rocks, Birmingham's premiere after hours event, gets ready to shake things up in its second year, which began on Friday, May 12! After an incredible first year, crowds of Art on the Rocks fans are anxiously waiting for the 2006 season...and it's just around the corner. This hip event full of art, music, food, drinks and lots of fun will have everyone mesmerized by the energy of the Museum and the spirit of downtown.

Art on the Rocks not only provides the most unique gallery viewing experience available in Alabama, but also showcases "right under the radar" musical talent on the verge of making it big. Scrumptious hors d'oeuvres by Kathy G, scavenger hunts with big-time prizes, hands-on art activities created especially for adults, specialty drinks and a wide variety of changing exhibitions combine to form one totally hip, culturally-driven night.

Whether you're coming straight after work or later in the evening, Art on the Rocks is the perfect way to jump start your weekend. Stay for the entire evening, or make Art on the Rocks your segue to a fabulous dinner downtown at one the city center's hot new restaurants!

Due to increased demand, Art on the Rocks tickets will be sold in advance online. Tickets are $5 for Museum members and $15 for the general public. Limited tickets are available. Members will be required to purchase tickets online too. Ticket prices include live music, food and art activities. A cash bar will feature wine, beer and specialty martinis. Art on the Rocks ticket stubs will be redeemable for discounts at area restaurants.

Remember to take advantage of FREE parking in the County parking deck adjacent to the Museum.
