Toby Mac & Hawk Nelson

Von Braun Center Arena, Huntsville, AL Friday Dec 8, 2006 7:00 PM

Contemporary Christian artiste Toby Mac, whose music is laced with rock, rap and other modern urban genres, has embarked on a major tour.  In addition to Mac and his Diverse City band, the show will feature performances by Newsong, Hawk Nelson, Zoegirl, and Newsboys. Since parting with the successful rap/rock Christian group DC Talk in 2001, Mac (born Toby McKeehan) has released two solo albums, Momentum and Welcome to Diverse City.

More recently, he has released Renovating Diverse City, a re-mix project, and has contributed a song, New World, to the CD Music Inspired by Narnia from the hit movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Mac, who is married to a Jamaican, has been featured on the annual Fun in the Son gospel spring festival since its inception.

In addition to performing and recording, he also heads his own record label, Gotee Records, to which a number of Christian artistes are signed, and has - along with fellow DC Talk alum Michael Tait, written the books, Under God and Living Under God. With DC Talk, he also produced the Jesus Freaks series of books recalling the lives of Christian martyrs and revolutionaries.
